Being near the Chicago River during St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago is crucial to a successful day. Finding a bar near the famous Saint Patrick’s Day parade, that’s a huge bonus. Gino’s East South Loop, opening at 9am on St. Patrick’s Day, is close to both the river and the parade. This year, enjoy the shenanigans with us, our killer menu and our great St. Patrick’s Day specials.
Keeping with the St. Paddy’s spirit, Gino’s will be featuring a few special items at special prices:
ST. PATRICK’S DAY AT GINO’S – $5 Specials Menu
On March 15th and 17th from open to close we will be serving up our scrumptious fish and chips for $5. We will also feature Irish Coffee for $5, Great Lakes Conway’s Irish Ale drafts, and our special concoction, the green Hulk Smash Cocktail. All for, you guessed it, 5 dollars.
After you’ve enjoyed the specials, we suggest taking in the dyeing of the Chicago River. This event is one of Chicago’s most unique attractions and hundreds of thousands of viewers visit the city to see the spectacle each year. Over 45 pounds of vegetable dye go into transforming the frigid waters a brilliant Emerald Green. This is definitely a sight to be seen.
Once you’ve taken in the green river and the sights of Chicagoans decked out in St. Patty’s green, head over to Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Grant Park. The parade starts at noon at Columbus and Balboa and proceeds north through the park.
After the parade, come back for another round of our great drink and appetizer specials. We are a quick 5 blocks west of Grant Park at 521 S. Dearborn, near the corner of Congress and Dearborn.
