We are excited to open our first Gino’s East in the Houston-area at 25657 interstate 45, Woodlands, TX 77380!
If you love pizza and are looking for a new and rewarding opportunity to work in the restaurant industry, join us at our in-house Job Fair Nov 21st & Nov 22nd from 11am-4pm. We will be accepting applications and interviewing those interested in joining the Gino’s East Texas family.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an iconic restaurant and a hardworking team. In 1966, three friends decided to open the original Gino’s East off of Michigan Avenue in Chicago, a city known as the “Deep Dish Pizza Capitol of the World.” Instantly, Gino’s East became a legendary pizza joint to locals and visitors from around the world. The original Gino’s East remains the number one pizza restaurant in downtown Chicago and we can’t wait to bring the classic deep dish style to Texas.
ATX Brands announced today the official plans for Gino’s East’s expansion across Texas with five locations expected to open within the coming year. ATX Brands Founder and CEO Doug Guller will bring the Chicago pizzeria’s signature dishes to all Texas locations, along with menu items created with a Texas spin. With a focus on the legendary Chicago-style, deep dish pizza, Gino’s East will also offer signature menu items as well as Texas-inspired dishes such as the BBQ Brisket Za with BBQ beef brisket, caramelized onions, and red and yellow peppers. “Gino’s East is an icon in the Chicago pizza scene and we’re excited to bring the classic deep dish style to Texas,” says Guller. “As soon as I tasted Gino’s East, I knew it was a concept that would work great here. I am so excited that this is a dream that turned into a reality.”
Additionally, Texas locations will carry a premier selection of local craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Gino’s East is expected to open in the coming year across Texas in The Woodlands, Willowbrook, San Antonio, Dallas/FortWorth, and Austin. All of the restaurants will incorporate signature design elements including the iconic graffiti walls that will be integrated into all of the Texas locations. The first location of Gino’s East will open in The Woodlands on December 11, 2014. A second location in the Houston-area will follow in Willowbrook on January 15, 2015. You can reach us at (281) 643-PIES (7437).
We’re excited to announce a new project that Gino’s East River North has been working on–our very own brewery! Our space at 500 N. LaSalle was the perfect place to make one of our dreams come to life, and we can’t wait to toast to some new, Chicago-based brews.
Some things you’ll need to know about our big reveal:
We’re set to open in October– you won’t have to wait very long to tap into our signature beers.
Everything on tap is designed to pair well with Gino’s East Famous Deep Dish Pizza and our other menu items; stay tuned for some dynamic food/drink combinations on the menu.
There are four beers kicking off our production, including a Black Rye IPA, Pale Ale, Belgian Whit and German Helles. We’re planning on rotating specialty and seasonal brews in addition to these.
All of our beers will be brewed onsite with to-go growlers available.
We hope to offer beer dinners: our beer paired with specific food items. Stay tuned for more information!
The man behind the madness is Kevin McMahon, who has been working tirelessly with our team to get the brewery off the ground. Kevin formerly worked at Abita Brewing and was most recently at Two Brothers. He’s from Elburn, IL.
As a virtual shelter, we’re trying to get the word about all of the great pets that are looking for a home. Help our neighbors represent Chicagoland by sharing this page and these animals! Even if you can’t adopt a pet yourself, you can help just by spreading the word.
Gino’s East Wells Street location is moving! This December we’ll be moving our location at 633 N. Wells just a few blocks away to 500 N. LaSalle. Our new River North location boasts 3 floors and tons of new features. We’ll still be cooking up our legendary Chicago style deep dish pizzas, but we’ve also added a bunch of new items to the menu, including gourmet appetizers, panini, and delicious fresh salads.
Many may know our new home as the former Michael Jordan’s Restaurant or LaSalle Power Co, but not many realize that this building once powered Chicago’s often forgotten cable car system. The building, designated as a Chicago landmark in 2001, was built in 1887 as The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse. According to the City of Chicago’s official website, it was built by The North Chicago Street Railroad Company, “which at its peak in the 1890s was the largest in the country, operating thousands of cable cars over 82 miles of track…[and] brought approximately 100,000 workers into downtown Chicago each day.”
We’ve completely remodeled the interior of the space while staying true to its history as a legendary Chicago landmark. On the inside, we’ve given each floor its own character: Our first floor will feature a dining room and, for the first time ever, Gino’s very own brewery! Our first batches of beer should be finished early next year, so be sure to stop by for an original Gino’s East beer and deep dish pizza after work! On our third floor we’ve built a huge, bright space perfect for parties. With a full bar, stage, DJ booth, and great views of Chicago’s skyline, we know Gino’s East River North will become a go-to downtown destination for parties and events.
Have any questions? Feel free to reach out to us on our website, or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to interact directly with Gino’s East! We’ll be posting across all our social media platforms to keep our fans updated with the move, new menu items, progress on the brewery, and more!
