St. Charles Gino’s East Story

In 1992, owner-operator Mike Reed opened the Saint Charles Gino’s East Restaurant. Just like the original Chicago restaurant in 1966, everything is made from scratch, including old fashion pizza ovens, Gino’s one-of-a-kind sausage recipe, and Gino’s homemade crusts and sauces.


Our homemade soup or cheese sticks are among the many great ways to start every meal. While we are famous for our deep-dish pizza, we also serve thin crust and even gluten-free pizza. The sautéed pasta portions are huge and our marinara sauce is full of homemade goodness. Lasagna is the chef’s favorite -- it takes a little time to prepare but is well worth the wait. Just like the Chicago restaurant, you can leave your mark on the place, so bring a marker. With over two hundred seats, Gino’s can host family parties, rehearsal dinners, and sports and club events.
