Deep Thoughts

Israel Idonije Foundation Allstar Camp

Team IIF runs the Chicago and Winnipeg All Star Football and Cheer camps in early June, providing free skills training to youth in underserved communities. The program targets youth ages 8 to 14 who are invited to a full day camp promoting football and cheer leading as well as social and emotional skills such as teamwork, positive peer social interactions, and goal setting.

On June 14, nearly 200 students participated in the Israel Idonije Foundation’s 8th Annual All Star Football and Cheer Camp in Chicago where they were provided lunch and healthy snacks courtesy of Gino’s East and Real Urban Barbecue and IIF shirts. This year’s camp was run in partnership with The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Chicago, who graciously hosted the camp, as well as additional community partners Chicago Housing Authority, Chicago Park District, Metropolitan Family Services and Calumet City Chargers Youth Cheer & Football Program. The camp could not have been done without the incredible coaches and volunteers who made this camp possible, including Chicago Bears David Bass.
