Deep Thoughts

Lollapalooza 2014

Beat the crowds at the Lolla food tents and stop by Gino’s East South Loop before you see your favorite shows. We’ve got plenty of outdoor seating and a sports bar that will get you ramped up for a long day of music. While you probably know all of the headliners by heart, you may not know what to order before kicking off the weekend. Let Gino’s East South Loop be your guide. We’ll take you through our menu and suggest dishes based on what acts you’re seeing. Don’t forget to sample some of our new 22 oz. bombers before heading out! tacos

Friday, August 1:

If you’re feeling fancy before seeing Iggy, order our Arugula and Avocado Salad. Made with arugula, shaved Parmesan cheese, avocado and white balsamic dressing, it’s sure to fill you up but won’t weigh you down.

Seeing Eminem? Try one of our gourmet thin crust pizzas before the show. While these pizzas are quite slim, they are not shady. Choose from Margherita, Zio Gino with sausage and sweet peppers or the Diavola with spicy pepperoni.

Saturday, August 2:

It’s day 2 of Lolla and you may be feeling a little tired and hungry. Foster the People is one of the big ticket items on Saturday. Work up an appetite during some of the earlier shows and then stop in for a meal at South Loop. We recommend something substantial. Our Chicago Fire deep dish pizza with patty-style sausage made extra hot & spicy with fire roasted red peppers and red onions will give you the extra energy you need to power through day 2. Don’t miss the Manchester Orchestra, Fitz and the Tantrums as well as Nas!

Sunday, August 3:

End your weekend with a bang before shows like Childish Gambino, Skrillex and Chance the Rapper. Grab some Chicken Carnitas Tacos or some of our Giant Buffalo Wings on your way to Grant Park, or stop by later on in the evening for a bomber (or two).
